Cookie Notice
Effective date: August 19, 2026
This notice explains how MerchantDeck AI and its providers use cookies and similar technologies on https://merchantdeckai.com. It should be read with the MerchantDeck AI Privacy Policy.
What we use
| Category | Purpose | Current launch state |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Operate and secure the Shopify-hosted website, remember essential session state, process forms, prevent abuse, and retain privacy choices | Required for the website to function |
| Preferences | Remember optional settings that improve the visitor experience | Enable only where permitted by the visitor's choice |
| Analytics | Understand visits and website performance through Google Analytics 4 | Disabled until an approved measurement ID is configured; theme code waits for Shopify analytics permission |
| Advertising/targeting | Measure or personalize advertising | Disabled for launch: Shopify Shop remarketing controls for cart, back-in-stock, price-drop, and browse reminders are disabled, and Shopify Network Intelligence is disabled. Update this notice and complete consent QA before enabling either feature |
Cookies can be session cookies, which expire when the browser closes, or persistent cookies, which remain for a defined period. Exact Shopify cookie names and durations may change as Shopify's services evolve.
Your choices
Shopify's automated banner is configured for the consent-required regions within MerchantDeck AI's active markets. You can accept, reject, or change optional cookie choices, and you can reopen the preferences modal from the website footer. You can also restrict cookies in your browser, but blocking necessary cookies may prevent parts of the website from working.
We honor applicable opt-out mechanisms made available through Shopify, including Global Privacy Control where supported and the Do not sell or share my data page linked in the footer. Optional analytics must not be enabled until its regional consent behavior has passed launch QA.
